MISSION STATEMENT

Studio49 is the heart of Project49 - the place where the mission becomes real.

It was created to offer a welcoming space where people of all ages can connect, learn, and create. We believe in fostering confidence, innovation, and community resilience through mentorship, skill-building, and meaningful intergenerational relationships.

Every class, every open studio night, every kid learning a new skill happens because of Project49’s community support.

What We Offer

  • Open Studios

    Open door, FREE community events.

Weekly Tuesday Art & Tech Nights where all ages are welcome to come and create, Monthly Sewing Socials. Afterschool hours, and more.

Full access to studio resources and staff - come with an idea or ready to be inspired!

  • Programs

Long-term programs happening at the Studio that focus on enriching and strengthening our community.

We host camps during school breaks and run a home-school enrichment program that focuses on supplemental child-led learning, social skills, and creativity.

  • Events

Markets, parties, fundraisers and other special events to celebrate in community.

Past events have included clothing swaps, maker’s markets, film screenings, and our Mend-O-Rama event.

Studio49 is also available for private events.

  • Private Lessons

Sign up for one-on-one classes taught by one of our on-site makers or artists.

We have an array of disciplines and will tailor-make a class just for your interests.

Great for any skill and any age.

  • Workshops

One-time classes in an artistic medium led by a local expert, such as drawing, sewing, sculpture, photography, knitting, and more.

We have recently held workshops on candle making, hand crafting lamps, and learning to knit.

Please reach out if you are interested in teaching a workshop with us!

  • Course Series

Multi-week classes to level up your skills in artistic and creative disciplines.

Our 6-week Foundations of Sewing Series is our most popular and includes instruction, sewing machine use, and materials.

Reach out if you are interested in teaching a course series at Studio49!

“This project is all heart with can-do people who are making it happen. Any support Project49 [and Studio49] receives becomes innumerable dreams that come to fruition and a community brought closer.”

— Mary L. from Livingston
