All Ages Poetry Workshop Series: Week 3 of 4

Participants will read and write poems and, using simple bookbinding techniques, leave the workshop with a small book of their musings.

This is designed as a 4-part workshop. Attendance is encouraged for all four parts to get the most out of the workshop experience, but all are invited to attend however many classes they are able to make.

Mondays 4-5pm (we will open the Studio early at 3:30pm for any students walking over from school):

  • May 26

  • June 2 (Prior attendance required for the final week as we will be creating our books)

About Your Hosts

Tessa Moeckel is a local poet and speech-language pathologist serving community children through a holistic therapy approach. She specializes in executive functioning, sensory regulation, social-emotional learning, and social communication. For the past three years, Moeckel has actively participated in the Elk River Arts and Lectures "Poetry in the Schools" program, bringing her unique combination of therapeutic expertise and poetic sensibility to students throughout the community.


Yetta Stein reads and writes in Livingston, Montana. She is a graduate of Hellgate High School, Portland State University’s Honors College, and holds an MFA from the Vermont College of Fine Arts. Her poetry or book reviews have appeared or are forthcoming in POETRY, Another Chicago Magazine, Mountain Outlaw, Rejected Lit, Tahoma Literary Review, and elsewhere. Stein served as the Managing Editor for Hunger Mountain for two years. She volunteers with Elk River Arts and Lectures (ERAL), a Montana nonprofit devoted to literary arts. Through ERAL, she teaches poetry to fourth graders and has led a poetry workshop for all ages at Park County’s senior citizen center. Through the Bozeman Field School, Stein spent a semester teaching a poetry elective course to high school students. Stein is a board member of Opera Montana (OM) where she chairs the Artistic Committee. She teaches yoga at Ekam Yoga in Bozeman and Firehall Fitness in Livingston.
