Studio49 Participation Notice
Dear Parent/Guardian or Participant,
Thank you for participating or allowing your child to participate in the activities at Studio49. To ensure clarity regarding some important policies and to help you make an informed decision about you or your child’s participation, please carefully review the following points:
1. Media Recording and Publicity
As part of our commitment to fostering a creative environment, Studio49 may use photography, video recordings, or other media formats to document the activities taking place in our studio. These recordings may include footage of your child participating in art projects, group activities, or other studio events. The footage may be used for promotional purposes, such as:
Social media (Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
Studio website
Print materials (brochures, flyers, posters)
Promotional videos
By signing this notice, you acknowledge and consent to the possibility of you or your child being photographed or recorded during their time in the studio. If you prefer that you or your child’s image not be used in any media or publicity materials, please indicate below.
☐ I consent to me or my child being photographed or recorded for promotional purposes.
☐ I do not consent to me or my child being photographed or recorded.
2. Responsibility for Minor Participants
Please be advised that Studio49 will supervise children during scheduled activities and ensure a safe environment while they are engaged in artistic projects. However, the studio is not responsible for the behavior or safety of the minor outside of these scheduled activity hours.
During “Open Studio” events (Tuesday Art Night, etc.) where dozens of individuals attend and many participants are moving in and out of the space at any given time, the front door of the building remains unlocked and is not actively monitored. While the Staff at Studio49 will keep eyes on minors without guardians present to the best of their ability, Studio49 will not be held responsible for the whereabouts of a minor participant if they exit the building before authorized.
Parents/guardians must ensure that someone is available to pick up the child promptly at the end of class or event hours. Studio49 will not take responsibility for the child once they have been released to the parent or designated pick-up person. If your child is able to walk or bike home independently, please relay this information to Studio49 Staff, otherwise we will not allow them to leave alone.
3. Liability for Lost or Damaged Personal Property
While we take all reasonable care to provide a safe and secure environment for you or your child, Studio49 cannot assume liability for personal property. The studio is not responsible for any lost, damaged, or stolen personal belongings during studio time, including, but not limited to, art supplies, clothing, bags, electronic devices, or any other personal items brought into the studio.
To whom it applies, we recommend that you remind your child to carefully store their belongings and that valuable or irreplaceable items be left at home. We do provide a Lost & Found and recommend looking for lost items there on a regular basis.
